ABOUT THE SERIES

This new series offers original interdisciplinary approaches towards history from environmental perspectives. We welcome proposals for monographs, edited collections, and conference proceedings considering environmental history and archaeology; animal history and zooarchaeology; history of water and water-borne animals; marine archaeology; landscape studies; ecocriticism; the relationships between human and nonhuman; anthropogenic ecosystems, water and land management; urban ecologies and waste management; inorganic environments, mining, and metallurgy; climate history; disease from environmental perspectives; human-caused pollutions; representing environment in art and literature; environmental movements.

We particularly welcome proposals dealing with underrepresented aspects of environmental history, unconventional or peripheral sources, and non-anthropocentric approaches.
