ABOUT TRIVENT

Trivent Publishing is an academic publishing house dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research. The press is part of Trivent Conferences, an international company headquartered in Budapest (Hungary) with more than three decades of experience in academic event management.


Trivent Conferences was founded in Budapest in 1993 with the aim of organising international academic conferences in collaboration with universities and research institutions. Over the years, the company has organised numerous scholarly events across a wide range of disciplines. In the early 2000s, Trivent Conferences also organised events for the European Commission and later coordinated an event-organising consortium for the Union for the Mediterranean, while continuing to develop its academic conference programme.


Through its long-standing collaboration with scholars, universities, and major academic publishers, Trivent Conferences gained extensive experience in scholarly publishing. This experience led to the establishment of Trivent Publishing in 2015 as a natural extension of the company’s commitment to supporting academic research and scholarly communication.


Today, Trivent Publishing works with scholars and editors from across the international academic community to publish peer-reviewed research mainly in the humanities and social sciences.



PUBLISHING PROGRAMME

Trivent Publishing publishes scholarly monographs, edited volumes, and academic journals across several areas of research.


One of our central areas of focus is history and Medieval Studies, published under the Trivent Medieval imprint. This growing imprint includes several book series dedicated to topics ranging from medieval history and art history to equine history and medievalism.


In addition, Trivent publishes research through two other specialised imprints:

  • Trivent Transhumanism, dedicated to studies on transhumanism, posthumanism, and emerging philosophical perspectives on technology and society
  • Trivent Ethics in Science & Technology, which publishes research in bioethics, applied ethics, and philosophy of technology


SCOPE AND MISSION

Trivent Publishing was founded by scholars with the aim of facilitating the dissemination of academic knowledge and supporting the work of researchers across the world. We seek to contribute to scholarly communication by publishing carefully reviewed research and by collaborating with international editors and academic networks.


In line with developments in contemporary scholarly communication, Trivent supports both traditional and open access publishing models, encouraging wider accessibility and global dissemination of academic research.


Many of the volumes published by Trivent Publishing originate from international academic conferences organised by Trivent Conferences or by partner institutions, creating a natural connection between scholarly exchange and academic publication.



PUBLISHING SERVICES AND AUTHOR SUPPORT

Trivent Publishing provides comprehensive editorial support throughout the entire publishing process. The editorial team works closely with authors and editors from the initial proposal stage through to final publication.


Publishing services include:

  • evaluation of book proposals
  • assistance with calls for papers for edited volumes
  • communication and coordination with contributing authors
  • management of the peer review process
  • copyediting, typesetting, and graphic design
  • production and publication of the final work


The press aims to ensure an efficient and transparent editorial workflow. Depending on the type of publication, the peer review process, and the timely submission of final materials, most projects are published within 6 to 12 months after acceptance.

Trivent Publishing is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and editorial independence. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit, originality, and relevance of submitted work. All publications are subject to established peer review procedures and ethical publishing standards, ensuring the quality and reliability of the research published.


Trivent works closely with an international network of series editors, reviewers, and scholars who contribute to maintaining the academic standards and intellectual diversity of its publishing programme.
